Over the years, Spiderbite Studios : Digital Media & Design has assisted various artists in the promotion, creation and distribution of their creative endeavors. We began at the end of 2000 by creating the artwork and organizing compilations in the Industrial, Trance, Gothic and Electronica genres for artists all over the world. Using these unsigned artist music (with their consent of course) we created the album artwork, and distributed compilations out to DJs around the world to assist in promoting the artists on the disc. This provided exposure to the musicians and to the artwork and creativity that we were looking to share. We then branched out into photographing and designing the album art for artists that needed more than just the exposure of a compilation.

We released more than 20 compilations in less than 3 years as well as working on other projects that some of the featured artists requested. This popularity and potential for worldwide exposure then allowed Spiderbite Studios the awesome opportunity to assist Jon Huck : Music/Sound Design with gathering artists for some of the behind the scenes featurettes on the DVDs for “The Matrix Revolutions” and “The Matrix Reloaded”. After continuing with the design of albums and some websites for musicians around the world, we decided to branch out into trying to film some music videos for some of these bands. Starting with a video for Skinflick (UK) called “The Reckoning” Carlton K got the filming bug and started working with local filming companies like Lunar Melee Pictures for various short film ideas and then their full length films, and have continued working on all sorts of projects with Fabian Rush Films and others. We moved in to the advertising realm shortly after designing DVD covers for some of these projects, with t-shirt designs, banners, logos, flyers and almost everything else you can think of.

We continue to branch out into all sorts of other digital advertising, multi-media and creative collaborations. We enjoy the dark and the macabre, the fun and goofy, and the strange and unusual. We also work in the informative and alternative advertising realm. Recently we were recruited to do a Public Service Announcement for the Richmond Ambulance Authority on the dangers of texting and walking, our PSA was shown and featured nationally. We also recently finished the first music video for The League of Space Pirates for the release of their single/comic book/vinyl album for “She’s a Star”. A creative collaboration of graphics artists, comic book illustrators, musicians, wardrobe stylists and others.
